The process of using check lists in order to prepare for a safe flight is critical to any flying. But in fact up until WWII check lists were not a standard part of flying. The first US military aircraft to use a check list was the Boeing B-17.
There were probably a ton of checklists on the Apollo program, but my favorite is the checklist sewn onto the space suits sleeve. Flying a drone, while in many ways are much different than piloting a manned aircraft, still necessitates a flight checklist to ensure a safe flight for both people structures in the area.
